New Orleans Hydroseeding

Louisiana Hydroseeding Experts

Hydroseeding is the simple procedure of applying grass seed, fertilizer, hydromulch and water in one liquefied application. Various soil amendments and soil stabilizers may also be used in the mixture depending on the needs of the environment.

Erosion Control

Temporary biodegradable, erosion control blankets provide erosion protection and give vegetation a chance to establish root and stem systems to permanently stabilize soil. The blankets are designed to decompose once the vegetation is mature enough to provide adequate protection.

Different fibers, netting and weaves are used depending on the slope of the area or the amount of flow, and the length of time protection is needed before mature vegetation can adequately stabilize the soil.

Best Sod Alternative

Sodding your lawn will give you a picture perfect lawn in as little as one day. Hydroseeding may take a few weeks to see your lawn fully develop.

Hydroseeding is also 60%-75% less expensive than installing sod. As with any new lawn installation, care, irrigation, and fertilization will ultimately determine the best results.

Often times lawns that have hydroseeding installed will begin to germinate is as little as 5-7 days. Most grass types will take between 3-4 weeks to fill in and depending on how often the lawn is watered, and the type of grass seed used, it can take up to as much as 8 weeks to see strong growth. The good news is that the money you save on sod can often times pay for the cost of a full irrigation system to ensure adequate and fast growth.
